MACS Participation Statement

Royal Holloway MACS recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.

Individual kit list

For a typical weekend trip we will be outdoors if the weather permits, normally climbing, but sometimes walking. If the weather is too bad we usually find an indoor climbing wall. We stay in climbing club huts which generally have sleeping platforms or bunk beds with matresses and more or less heating.

Pack lightly and share hairdryers. The club has a certain amount of spare kit that can be borrowed, so ask the committee, if you're missing something or it might not be required for the trip.
