A long time ago there was a member of MACS called Mark Dicken, for unpublishable reasons he was called Hosey, but also was known as Beast. He wrote the now immortal "Hosey Guides (tm)" and this is a modified version of which Mark says: "I was thinking what to write about to kick start the ailing Hosey Guides, which at this point were kind of dead and gort the idea that I should write about something that I am good at, enjoy and possible well known for. Then I thought that sharking was a bad idea and decided on climbing instead."
